With students finally departed for far-off destinations, the classrooms take a brief rest before activities begin anew. Not so the remainder of the campus, where maintenance crews spend the summer months on a busy program renovating, decorating, and completing an amazing variety of projects before the hordes return.
This year, the major centre of activity is the excavation for the new arts and classrooms block, as evidenced by the rather large hole that has appeared to the north of the Crooks Centre.
Normal campus life, however, will resume in September, and the first edition of the Brentwood Blog for the 2010-2011 school year posted soon thereafter.
Note: the picture above shows Mr. Collis's English 9 class out of their depth, immersed in literary analysis of "Sea Fever", a poem by John Masefield. All books used in this lesson were due to be recycled and were, eventually, recycled.
